Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is a coastal town in Talamanca in Limón Province in southeastern Costa Rica, known simply as Puerto Viejo to locals. The town was originally called Old Harbour until the Costa Rican government institutionalized Spanish as the national language and changed the names of the towns and landmarks in the area from English to Spanish or Native American.
In this ecosystem, nestled in the Caribbean but with forest environment, you will find species such as raccoons, sloths, iguanas and basilisks. You will also notice snakes like tinsel and tamagá, and birds like the black hawk.
San Gerardo de Dota Costa Rica is world known by its nature beauty, its green and exuberant forest, the isolated paths, eco-tourism and the most important activity is the birdwatching; there are a lot of incredible bird species, including the Resplendent Quetzal.

I travelled to the Azores in February and March 2022. On my trip I visited four of the nine large islands of the archipelago: São Miguel in the east, Horta and São Jorge in the middle and Flores in the west. The various forces of nature at work here are extremely impressive. The climate is harsh and mild at the same time, and seeing few people for weeks on end was extremely restful.
