Dirk Heurich
I am a german photographer based in Hamburg. I like to shoot portraits most. As a lot of people seem to like my landscapes and my special view on people and places, I decided to go public with my work.
I see a lot of beauty in life. People, nature, landscapes – even trash can be beautiful. And I find it beautiful the way it is. I do not need to overexaggerate. Today a lot of people tend to think, that what is there, is not enough. Everything is pimped up. More colour, more shine, more perfection.
I do not follow that path. I try to show the world the way I am seeing it. Full of beauty, sometimes poetic, often ironic
– and always unique.

I travel a lot and have my camera with me all the time. I do not care about sand, dust, sun, water, weird people … That gives me the opportunity to shoot very special moments.
Projects
Sometimes I see things differently. First it is just an idea and then suddenly a photo becomes a work of art because it is more than a picture.
It transports an idea.

Studio
My studio is very suitable for portraits, it is small but perfectly equipped. It’s centrally located, close to Hamburg’s main railway station, yet quiet and intimate. I use it myself, but it is also available for hire.
