Southern California between L.A. and San Diego. I expected relaxed people and surfer attitude. Instead, I found a lot of rules.
I travelled to the Azores in February and March 2022. On my trip I visited four of the nine large islands of the archipelago: São Miguel in the east, Horta and São Jorge in the middle and Flores in the west. The various forces of nature at work here are extremely impressive. The climate is harsh and mild at the same time, and seeing few people for weeks on end was extremely restful.
